How to increase Data speeds :)

Ok guys I tried this and it didn't really work no matter what combos I tried. This is due to my location which gives me pretty good speeds 4.1 MB on average. I looked around and found something that works awesomely and wanted to give it to those who hasn't found the thread yet. The thread gives you a mod that removes the governor that caps your data speed it doesn't increase it but it is more of a way to make it consistent.usually when you use your data it reaches it peak and then falls to slower speeds I guess this is metro pcs trying to conserve data for other people. This mod allows your phone to reach its peak and stay there eliminating lag our buffering it also makes internet more snappier yet it out and hit the big thanks button if it works :) http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/572396-data-governor-remover-does-work.html

sounds like one of those bots...i thought it's been confirmed that the data governor doesn't work.

There might be something to that. Never thought to go to the web site to do a speed test. It showed me at 1Mbps higher than with the app. Wonder why that is?

Never had a need to just install it before. Why install?
Installing Titanium installs it.

What settings did you guys use? Tbh..I'm not sure what number does what for the 3g/4g custom preset option. Tad bit faster..though more upload than down.

i was in the middle of watching rush hour 3 on my laptop and i was surfing the web on my lovely phone(thanks idrifta <3) and my speeds was pissing me off. so i stopped the movie and searched around and came across this. i will try this as soon as my movie is done and when my phone is done charging. this looks like it could work :) but its 3g and we have 4g so idk :0 what do you guys think?

haha im mad late with it but im legit watching rush hour 2 as i read this LOLOL (part 2 is my favorite)
 
I know.. Mine goes up to 5! Then goeback down to 3... So it depends on the area. The tweek does work though! It made my upload go to 10 lol
 
So spent some more time playing with settings..decided to try running that data governor removal pbot posted again in conjunction with these tweaks. Guess what...chopped my latency down a ton and speeds shot up. Massive difference now!!
