Help How to increase Gmail synching?

Kadgarth

Newbie
Whenever I got a new e-mail from someone on my Droid it would be updated within minutes. It seems like on the X it can take a few hours before it decides it wants to synch with my inbox. Is there a way to increase this frequency?

Ideas anyone?

I just checked now and it said the last time Gmail synched was when I manually did it 3.5 hours ago :/

Isn't gmail push. You get it as soon as it arrives. Try sending your gmail account an e-mail and see if it pops right up. It does on mine.

Sent en e-mail 15 minutes ago to myself and still have yet to hear the infamous "Drooiiid" or see a notification. I've even opened the gmail app and it hasn't showed up.

anyone else ever look at there outbox and see messages hanging on 'sending'? even though the message has already sent (although it is not yet showing in sent mail)?

i know its already been sent because i've already received a response....

if you dont have the power control widget, press and hold an empty row on one of your screens

add the widget, which is in "android widgets"

the autosync button is the one with little arrows

Got it, thanks...autosync was already on...starting a new thread to see if my hotmail issue can be resolved.
