Help How to Increase the ACTIVE Screen Time

Hello people.

i recently purchased this watch and i was curious to know if any one has used the watch faces... you must have noticed the screen goes dim automatically in 3 or 4 seconds...
i know this is to preserve the battery. once you click it or roll your wrist it becomes active... and in 3 secs goes dim if not used..

i want to increase the Active Screen time of any particular watch face.. but couldnt find in the watch settings or the android wear app on the phone...
Any watch face you choose, will go dim automatically in 3-4 secs..... Can we customize this "active screen time" ?

thanks alot for your input..

Love the watch btw...

Hi @M Ayaz Qureshi, and welcome to Android Forums :)

There is not a universal way to extend the time before the display automatically dims into Ambient Mode (or turns off if Always-on is disabled), but some watch faces available in the Play Store will include an option to change that setting - though it will only apply when that watch face is displayed. Driver Watch Face is one I happen to have installed, but I know there are many others that will do it. A lot of the frameworks for making your own watch face (Pujie Black, WatchMaker, etc) will also have this capability.

Hope this helps! :)

Whoops, I forgot about an app that was recommended in another thread:

Download and install KOKO. It is free, and allows you to have complete control of the timing for your main face and ambient face. If you want a better ambient experience, try a top notch watchface like Skymaster Pilot.

I haven't tried it, but maybe it can help!

I use the Odyssey watch face. Watch face is ALWAYS on, with virtually no degradation of battery life. And it gives me the important information I want at a glance.
I have three of that developers faces and have it set to only dim the face like you and I am easily able to make 18 hours with 30-40% battery to spare.
