My friend just got a droid incredible phone. He has no idea how to insert a smiley while texting. I am not near him to help him. I have a droid from tmobile and there is a smiley on my keyboard and also if I hit the menu button while texting. Can someone tell me how to do it so I can pass it along to him? He is too busy and maybe lazy to figure it out. Thanks!

When in the text entering field hit the "12#" button in the lower right area, then the "1/2" button in the lower left area of the keyboard. There are the smileys. Almost easier to just enter them manually.
Your friend should try Handcent for txting. I think it is easier and more intuitive. Easier to insert smileys too.
