Help how to install ADW

Hi

I am new to android. I would like to know how to install ADW, step by step please. i tired downloading from market what it called ADW.launcher(donut). but don't know how to activate it to start it.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you also download an app called Home Switcher which is free from the market and it lets you switch between your ADW and the Sony Ericsson Home/Timescape launchers. Once you have that installed click on the Home Switcher icon in your app drawer and you can then choose ADW, see if you like it and then set it as default from there too.

It looks like you downloaded the right thing.

Also if you haven't got one try downloading a file manager too.

oh ok thanks a lot, that was quick. in most homescreen(common)i see a animated weather and clock. how do i install that?
 
The 'Weather and Toggle Widget' is nice, its cost a couple of quid but well worth it :)
 
I am also after this info, I have downloaded the ADW Pinksia theme - and have had no luck getting it to load, I have also gotten the home switch app, but still cant get it to work.

When I press the home button, i get no prompt to select the adw.
When using home switcher, the only options I have are home and timescape.

Have I missed a step in gettin it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated - this has been driving me crazy for 2 days now!
 
Hello there Kazz, and welcome to the forum. As far as I understand it you need to download the plain ADW launcher first and then the themes work on top of that. The theme only changes the appearance, it doesn't contain the programme details.
