How to install android on china made tablet?

i had a Trio Tab that came out of the box, brand new frozen. stuck at the 'android' logo (green droid robot on blue square background). after attempting many things, in the end i plugged it in, held power until i got the 'dead android' screen and then powered off then back on, and it's been fine ever since. not sure what i did though, i got lucky. it must have had some kind of recovery that i must have triggered.

I have a problem with my tablet. It's a 7" Slick WebSurfer (Chinese made) and runs Android 2.1 OS. The problem is, when I turn on the tablet, all I can get to is where it says the manufacturer's name, I am unable to view anything else, no matter what buttons I press. I've tried pressing the power and volume controls, and the small reset button on the back of the tablet, which hasn't worked. Is there anything else that anybody else recommends trying?

Without any direct support or information from the manufacturer, it could be anybody's guess what key combinations could get you to a recovery menu. All I can really suggest is to make sure you've tried every possible key combination and that you hold the buttons for at least 20 seconds before you give up. Beyond that, there's not a whole lot anyone can do. Sorry.

I have a Chinese tablet with android 4.0 ICS but the android operating system did not start or complete restart, can anyone help to tell me what I can do to fix it.

Welcome to Android Forums, hhmanaf.

If you read back through this thread, you'll see that without direct support from the manufacturer, it's very difficult to know exactly how to get your particular device functioning correctly. If you can give us more details about the make model and perhaps and FCC numbers printed on the unit, we might be able to find something for you. I have to be honest, though. The chances are slim. :(

Sir,
i have a tablet (dibaiipo.com/product_show.asp?infid=235) bricked, jammed, keeps on loading and loading after the manufacturers name. NEED HELP!!! What should I do? Haven't tried Uberoid yet. Pl. reply ASAP

please reply in simple words, with a step by step guide thingy

My Trio froze again recently and I discovered that if you power it off (hold down power until it turns off) and attempt to power it on again, and repeat this cycle six-eight times, it forces recovery mode. Of the budget products I've had, each has been rooted out of the box.

Welcome to Android Forums, Abdulla.

Unfortunately there is no universal binary for Android. You'll need to get something specifically for your particular device. Chinese products prove to be particularly problematic as they are difficult to identify and receive almost no support from the manufacturers, if you can determine who made it.

This thread explains why these bargain devices aren't such bargains after all. :(

Hello and Welcome to Android Forums Pewr. :)

As we've tried to explain throughout this thread, the firmware that is on your device is, and must be, compiled specifically for your hardware. Trying to flash something else could ruin your tablet.

I found several 7" tablets with the Q88 model number listed as "Green", "AllWinner", "Afunta", etc. I suspect they all might be from the same manufacturer in China, but I can't guarantee that one tablet's firmware will work with another of the same model. Since it is only a month old, the best advice I can give is to return it for a warranty repair or replacement.

Sorry, if that's not the answer you were hoping for. :(

Hello and welcome to the forums . some tablets just required that u do a hard reset this would be pushing a tiny button on the tablet . may I ask what is the tablet doing . something is wrong with the app only show hello and I got blank thread

i can't reset it.. i tryed allot of times, no reset buton. And no warranty for it because i buy it from ebay lol . I just want to try reinstal it i don't care if it explosive or smthng then i reinstaling android :D because he is always in closet and nobody don't need because it's not working :(

What happen when you power on the device do u get a dead android with some options at the top that say android recovery

I am finding some vague references to the Q88 so first try this... with the tablet off, press and hold the volume up and the power button until the screen flashes and then release the power button only. It should boot into a recovery screen to allow you to reset from there. Be sure to clear the caches before you reset.

If that doesn't work, I've seen instructions for the Allwinner Q88 that says the microphone hole is also the hole for the reset button. It says to stick a thin wire like a paper clip in the hole until you feel the switch click. I DO NOT KNOW IF THAT IS THE CASE WITH YOUR TABLET. YOU CAN DAMAGE THE MICROPHONE IF YOU TRY THIS.

Since you said you're willing to try anything ...

Lol if the reset button is in the same hole as the mic then...... i just dont know what even.... :banghead::banghead::D
As a last resort though its maybe worth a shot.
I rarely use the mic on my tab

Unless you can get it into recovery, some sort of download mode or connect via adb, I really wouldn't have the first clue how you'd go about trying. Sorry.

Is it a SD card slot or usb . but USB wont work cause you can't get to check USB debugging or enable side loading if present

yes there is sd card slot, i tryed again on buton and volume up...but again no good sights, then i tryin on it i see android picture and writed: android, and afther that black screen with android word.. ;S

First thing. How much battery do u have on the tablet I hope 50 or more percent.

Second. When flashing the files you need to allow the device to load up all the files that you flashed this can be a black screen for 10 minutes . and what files did you flash if you did any. I know most tablets need the IMG. Files first

Can you put the complete name of the tablet you have and I will see if I can find or make a zip file to flash .
