Root How to Install ***CWM 6!!*** on the Huawei Fusion 2!

Hi all!

I rooted the phone successfully.

When I go through the aobve steps for CWM, I hold UP the volume button and hit power for over 5 minutes, and nothing - it just freezes on the ATT screen.

Ok, step 1.1: Make sure you extract the zip file to a new folder, I called mine H2 - and run the instalador file from there -otherwise, no workie!

You can just put the cwm recovery file in the instalador folder alternately.
 
Need help
I have downloaded the sdk i have adb and i booted into fastboot, the instador.bat said it was successful but it wasnt and i still have the stock recovery. I tried factory resetting my phone and it still didn't work.

I don't know if this will help, but ill put it in case it will help someone diagnose the problem.

Hey William,

This forum is full of people who should be able to help you get everything sorted.

Just to get the ball rolling, your phone is already rooted, correct?

What operating system are you using?
 
Wrong recovery image. I think I posted that awhile ago. Maybe it found its way to xda or elsewhere or I never changed it.

It's not for me, as I already have it installed.

It's for Williamd (and others I'd assume).

I thought the file was already updated, because people have had success recently.

I'm not totally sure why William is having problems getting CWM setup on his phone.

It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much i am the happiest person alive right now when i firstt started trying to root my phone back when my phone came out i thought i would never see this day. Thank you all that worked on the program and helped me.

everything goes fine until i try to restart in cwm recovery. holding down power + volume up puts me in to fastboot also....what am i doing wrong?

I tried to extract the files by itself onto the desktop and named it CWM6-HF2 by default. When I have the phone in fastboot and then I hit instalator .bat file, and then press spacebar, nothing. I tried unplugging the phone and replugging it. When I type "fastboot devices" it gives me letters and numbers so I know my phone is connected via fastboot. Does anybody have any ideas why this CWM is not installing?....


Also i'm on a windows 7 machine that I hardly use, I had to associate the .bat files to the command prompt, is there a checklist of things on a windows machine that I need to do before I start rooting, installing CWM on my phone. Seems like a majority of the problems are the machines being used to root not the directions themselves.

Ok so you may skipped a step I have jacked up the root once before I will fix the file today but in the mean time since fastboot works you validated there is a connection so now plug it in validate again and then type fastboot flash recovery (I believe recovery.superrecovery.img
 
Oh wait your not trying to root ok so copy the recovery.img that is in the cwm file and copy it to the files you used to root and paste it and then use the run me fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
 
Just had to drop a forum bomb. Studying for last business law test of the semester today. Bout to get me some a's so I'm busy. After this semester is done it is time for some programing delight. Let's pump out some roms cam!
 
ok it worked I took out the battery and boot into recovery and I get the top hat with the gears, woohoo! off to installing CM7 thanks Cameron! ;)
