Hey guys! I may not be the best android dev, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Kurt posted the SlimBean 4.3 ROM as well as the recovery needed for it on the G+ Community, but alas, he accidentally deleted the posts.

Seeing as I had some spare time, as well as wanting to gain some hands-on experience, I went ahead and made an All-In-One flashable zip for the SlimBean 4.3 ROM!

The zip uses an installer called Aroma Installer, and allows you to choose what it is you want to install. It is a touch based interface!



Here are the options you can choose:

1. Default Installation
- This installs the recovery, ROM, then the gApps


2. ROM Only
- This option will only install the ROM itself


3. gApps Only
- This option will only install the Google Apps package


4. Recovery Only
- This option will only install the recovery


5. Custom Install
- This option will allow you to choose which ones you want to install!

hey jon how do i know if i need to flash the recovery. I have clock work mod on my phone but iam not sure could you explain
 
in addition could you provide some instructions for installing this stuff. I have never installed roms this way before. its usually seperated in 3 distinct files, the gaps, the rom and the baseband. How does this thing work

Hey there. The recovery version should be v6.0.4.1.

However, you have the option to flash all three components (recovery, ROM, gApps) in the installer so just go ahead and flash it and choose Default Installation.

how do i start this installer ? it seems i need to flash or three items. if you could provide me with some step by step that would be great
 
Would It be easier if I recorded myself installing it?

Won't be able to do that actually. :\

But be sure to first wipe everything.
 
Definitly,Because then i follow you step by step. Even while watching the screens I still don't know how you got to that menu. do i have to be booted in the recovery and if so where do i go. these are questions that you can answer in your video
 
Thank you so much the video is great. one question though is it ok to do a full factory reset before going throught with the installation in the recovery?
 
You need to wipe everything. Factory reset only wipes /data, /cache, and /datadata.

You need to wipe:
/system
/cache
/data
/cust
 
I haven't flashed this yet, but that video just really impressed me :)
Now I'm gonna be up late dude..

Question: I've flashed a bunch of roms now, but have never left the gapps out. Wanna save me some time and spoil the suprise for me? What happens when I boot into Slim with no gapps flashed?

Gapps means Google apps so no setup wizard no play store or anything Google. But you can flash the gapps in the zip as well.
