i see i cannot connect to my computer with the 0505 build of cm7, do i have to flash to icarus to get the usb driver zip on my sd card? one its on teh phone to i have to flash the zip in cmr or will everything work with the file just being on the sd card. thanks!

mine connects just fine. It sees it as a mass storage device. You should get a sd card reader as a backup
 
yea the computer does not recognize it so thats why i was goin to flash to icarus and put it on there that way. do yo uhave to flash the zip in cmr though?
 
no i meant i was going to flash back to icarus so i could mount the phone to the computer and import the driver zip to my sd card then flash back to cm7 and i was asking if i had to go into cmr and install the zip file for the usb driver to work on cm7.
 
all fixed , loaded the usb zip onto my sd card through my card reader after i extracted the files. reinstalled sd card and rebooted phone. computer now connects and i can get into my sd card through my comp. problem solved. usb fully functional. cm7 rocks

let me get this straight, after extracting it you set the folder in the sd card? & it worked for you. i have to try this...

Ok, my puter decided to quit recognizing my phone after getting the latest CM7 build. I extracted to desktop, ran PcOptions, uninstalled drivers, and installed drivers again. No go. Suggestions?

I tried this too. Nada.

you have to unzip it using winrar and extract it to desktop, and also once you install the drivers remember you have to drag down the notification button and in able usb mode, auto play will not popup like it did on 2.1 when you connect the usb to the phone.

Yeah, I saw the usb icon on the drag-down bar, pulled it down, and saw what was up. Then I sat there a couple minutes feeling like an idiot.

did you tap it and notice you can now access you sdcard via computer?
 
Hi ... I'm having real problem installing cwm 3.0.2.8 over 3.0.0.5. It seems as though the PC isn't recognizing my phone because when i run install recovery windows, the dos box has waiting for device. Is this a driver issue? I don't normally have driver problems when I mount my phone to share files from the sdcard, so why is it an issue now? Should I just try d/ling the drivers anyway? I'm really stuck here:( thanks.
