how to make bad app sink to the bottom where they belong

here’s a quick lesson on how to make a bad app sink to the bottom like they belong.

1. don’t download it to give it a bad rating cause this only makes it go up the ladder in the most popular catagory. most popular is based off of how many downloads the app gets not how many stars it gets so by giving the 1 star review does nothing except make good apps sink to the bottom. if you see 50 people rating at 1 star and the app is really a 1 star app no need to add your 2 cents in. when the app creator see's that only 100 - 500 have dowloaded his app and 50 - 100 people all gave it a 1 he'll get the message. you don't need to be #101

2. if you don't like soundboard apps or apps that fit this catagory cause you think their stupid don't download it to put your 2 cents in cause nobody wants to hear you. my mother used say if you have nothing good to say don't bother. i'm going to fix that statment for you. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING PRODUCTIVE TO SAY DON'T BOTHER. nobody wants a troll on the comments page while trying to decide if he wan't to try the app.

3. yes there ought to be alot of apps on the market that should be free cause they are not that good. but by you buying the app only to post your stupid comment only pads his download count he's counting on you doing that so the uninformed or people too dumb to read the coments download his crap app and sinks all the good apps to the bottom of the page.

i'm going to say it again here so people understand how to keep the good apps on top.

1. DON'T DOWNLOAD IT.

2. DON'T COMMENT ON IT IF IN THE FIRST 20 POST YOU SEE ARE FAIL MOST LIKLEY THERE ARE 50 MORE WHERE THOSE CAME FROM.

3. DON'T BUY IT. why would somebody buy an app just to say you fail dude. i don't buy video games from the store then return it the next day just to show how bad the game is. so why let the dev have the pleasuse of having your money for a second so you can say you fail dude. when saying nothing and watching that sucker slide on down the market page is so much better.

i disagree with #1, i think you should rate it badly if it deserves it, even if it only as bad reviews atm.

#2, yes don't rate an app badly because you don't like the type of app..

#3 when you buy an app, and return it to get hte refund, the developer never actually gets any money. all that happens is the payment is cancelled before it goes through.

So, not sure about #1 and #3, but yeah @ #2

agree with #2. if you like soundboards and the app is buggy then rate it down. If you don't care about soundboards then don't bother their fans.

(radio wouldn't have been the same without soundboards and they are now a big hit all over the web for some reason)

As a developer I ask you this. If you read my 380 character description and you do not like it. PLEASE stay the hell away from my app. I do not want your $0.99! Stay even further away from my FREE app!

Walk into a toy store and you will find hundreds of useless noise making toys. Why don't you walk in there with a can of spray paint and graffiti all over the shelves? Because you would go to jail? What gives you the right to download a free or paid app knowing that you wouldn't like it just so that you could post your nonsense?

I made an app called "Knock On Wood" just for the hell of it as practice. It took me a few hours to wrap it up into a presentable package for the marketplace. I clearly defined its capabilities in the description and made it free. Now why the hell would you download it if you knew thats not your cup of tea? How dare you go out of your way just to insult my hard work?

Listen up people! Marketplace is for people of all ages and interests! Its like going to the mall. Just stay out of the stores that you don't like and you will be fine. Don't try to be a mall cop!
