Help How to make custom ring tones

I have a vast Itunes library and knew how to do it on the iPhone. I kept pursuing the method of putting the small MP3 on the SD card and hoping that the ring tone menu would find it. Now, I browse to the MP3, hold it down and select the option (off screen) to set as ring tone.

Oh, well your title mentioned making ringtones, not having ringtones identified.

If you're looking for that answer, there's a couple threads in the faq thread stickied at the top that tell u how to set up ringtones and alerts to be identified on all your future anddoid phones without issues.
