Help how to make sms pro the default program when swiping open text message

Hi all. New here.. I just moved over from the iPhone.. so far so good

I just downloaded a GO SMS Pro app and when I first installed it I received a text when my phone was in sleep mode.. I swiped to open the text message and it asked me which program I would like to open the message with .. I selected the regular app (and also clicked set as default, or always use this program..or whatever it says). After using the SMS pro app I would like that app to open the text when I swipe open the text from the sweep mode .. can someone help me..?? I'm guessing.there's a quick fix in the settings somewhere..

You have to clear the default under the old app.

Settings > Applications > Manage Apps > select the app that currently opens text messages > Clear Defaults.

Then it should prompt you on which one to make the default again.

It says no defaults set.. =(

Download Default App Manager from the Android Market. Open it and select 'Category Wise'. Scroll down and select Messaging, then select the app you wish to use as default.

Under advanced settings in Go pro there is a option under receive to disable other messaging programs. I just recently downloaded go and love it over stock. The yellow icon wont be on lock screen anymore though. GL!

That yellow icon on the lock screen is what imtryna keep.. and have the swipe bring me to SMS pro

Oh sorry misunderstood you. With go SMS once you clear your lock screen you are staring at new message waiting for you. I guess I just sacrificed one for the other
