Lol, I was just about to post it here as I was scanning the posts to make sure no one posted it yet. Anyway, yup, it's finally here!
Quick question, will the update delete my settings, apps and various other little tid bits that I spent all this time trying to perfect(for my use)? I've started reading about how Swype might not work with Froyo and I'm actually hesitant to do so as I am in love with that app!
How and what should I back up before I update?
Thanks!

What's the proof that FRF85B isn't final 2.2?
I'm not saying that 85B isn't the final build. Saying that 83 wasn't even though everyone saying it was. 85B probably is final.

New Android 2.2 Software Update for Nexus One phones
Starting today, Nexus One users will begin to receive the Android 2.2 (codenamed Froyo) over-the-air software update on their phones. This update provides some great new features including support for making your handset a portable hotspot and support for Adobe Flash within the browser. For a complete list of everything we’ve included in Android 2.2, please see the Android 2.2 Platform Highlights.
In order to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone's notification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, and you should be all set. This update will be rolled out gradually to phones - and most users will receive the notification by the end of the week . We hope you enjoy these new features.
My power button is horrible.
It comes to a point where I have to remove the battery to use the phone.
It won't wake up the phone and the "click" sound is gone.
I compare it to buying a brand new car and not having the ON-OFF button working as it should. It sucks.
Looks like Google is not yet finished with Android 2.2. Another build is available for download. First there was FRF50, then FRF72, then FRF83 and now FRF85B. Here's how to manually install the latest build on your Nexus One.
When I do this, the phone echoes:
verifying current systems.. assert failed. apply_patch_check("/system
well a bunch of gobbeldgogook, Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 7) Installation aborted.
The update.zip is only 502k, is that right?
I'm on an att n1, unlocked currently have frf83
