Root how to nand unlock (soff)

hi i just got my desire and have rooted via unrevoked install oxygen rc6 , i am trying to use and app that i used on my hero called absolute system tool where you can download and install fonts/and bootanimations .... i tried it on my desire but it says ...

error system not mountable
your device's/system is not able to to be mounted RW
you need to NAND unlock (soff) your device to use this app ..

ok so can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this please

To s-off, you need to flash custom Hboot by alpharev (providing you are on a GSM desire).

AlphaRev 1.8

However, this is overkill for changing fonts. You could use font changer 1.4 without having s-off.

Tbh you've jumped in at the deep end with things you don't understand and I assume because you see others with it you think you need it too. I've had my Desire nearly a year and I'm not S-OFF!!

Unless you wanna be mucking around with MTDs and the what not it's just not needed

100% agree. I only use it for mtd or occasionally removing system apps but there are other simple ways for the latter
