Help how to open attachments w/ pop email account

I've searched the forum but haven't found an answer.

How do I open attachments, in this case a .jpeg file, in android 2.1 using a pop email account?

Depending on your settings in your mail account (I use Hotmail), when you receive an email with an attachment most likely you will have the little click box at the bottom of the email that says "Get remaining xxxK"....then it will download to your phone and you will have a new dialogue box at the top of your email that says "View Attachment" Hope this helps

Hmmm... I get the "Get remaining xxxK" message and the attachments are downloaded, but I don't get a "View Attachment" notice.

The attachment (paperclip icon and DSCN jpeg file and file size) shows up, but no actual image.

In settings I have the "mail size" limit set to "no limit and the temporary attachment storage set to my SD card.

Anyone w/ any further ideas?

Touch the paper clip to open the attachment.

Duh!

I was pressing the paper clip, just not pressing it hard enough.
