How to place files on the homepage?

Hi all,

2 days into owning the Desire and as a gadget fan I'm like a kid in a sweet shop...

Is there a way to place files on your homepage - I'd ike easy access to a a London underground map which I have saved as a .pdf?

Am I missing something?

I don't have any PDF's on my Desire, but doesn't the usual "press down on the icon for two seconds and it will appear on the homepage screen" trick work?

There's a London Underground app in the Marketplace. Not only does it include a map but it provides up to date service status and directions.

If you have something like Astro you can long press on on the spot you want the file, then go shortcuts, astro, then find the pdf

Just what I was about to post, yep, this works, just tried it with a .doc file so it should work with a .pdf file.

I managed to get the desire's user guide up, so it works with pdf's
