Help how to prepare for a factory reset ?

I updated to ICS about 4 weeks ago and love it. But my battery sucks, I dont know if it is an app but thinking it is just the OS and data. I can be in airplane mode for 5 days but as soon as I get out of airplane mode my battery starts to drain really fast. I hear some have done a factory reset to help with little bugs. I am not rooted so cant use Titanium back up and I flashed threw Ordin so I hear you can not use Kies so how do I back up so I can get my phone back to where I have it now ??

You can use your Google account to backup your contacts. There is an application App Backup Restore and SMS Backup Restore to backup those items, however, any Game saves from what I understand will not be saved.
If you use Go Launcher,you can also backup your settings for that through Go Launcher settings themselves.
