Help How to prevent automatic full stop / period in text messages?

Ok so im still angry that my 3rd Desire S is still crashing.

They've all had another thing in common though thats annoying, the phone will put full stops (or periods if you're american) after every few words like its trying to guess my punctuation.

How do i stop it from doing this?

This is in text messages by the way.

If you accidentally hit the space bar twice, it will put a full stop. Are you sure you're not hitting it by accident?

You'll also get a full stop when you touch and hold down (or long press) the space bar.

Remember you can calibrate the touch screen at anytime to help with using the keyboard.
