How to prevent game app from updating?

Bizzy1

Newbie
So I have this fast and furious app and would like to keep the 1.0.5 version . I have disable the settings in Google Play menu and etc. But when I open the game it says:

New Version Available- A new version is available! Download from the App store now.

Anyway to continue using the older version without updating?

TY in advance.

droid wall is outdated there are other apps based on droidwall that are more up to date. ive heard that DroidWall doesnt play well with ics or jb.

I've had great success with it myself but yes there are alternatives. Point being: block the data access of your app and see if that bypasses the update and let's you play.

True droid wall is old. However, it plays fine with ICS and JB. I have had no problems using it.

no it doesn't work.. and internet connection is needed to play the game...so turning the WiFi off doesn't work either

Well unless there is a setting in the game to tell it not to look for an update, then I guess you may be stuck.

I can think of lots of reasons to not update an app. Several time I have found the newer version of an app sucks when compared to the version you had before, or a feature was removed and you liked that feature, etc...
