Help How to prevent login to unwanted wifi hotspot

Im trying to prevent my phone from logging into a specific hotspot. Someone in the area has an unsecured hotspot. And my phone keeps constantly trying to log in to anytime I lose signal to my 2 main connections. I would rather it just go to 1x, and not even try to log in to that spot. I know this sounds stupid and that I should be glad that theres an unsecured connection near me, but it doesnt even work when it does log in to it. So I have to manually disconnect from that, and attempt to log in to the 2 main spots I control. And I tried to "forget it" but it just reremembers it everytime it scans. Is there a way to delete that spot from my list of potential spots so it no longer tries to log into it?

Or maybe an app that controls wifi log ins? Im new to smart phones, so bare with me. Thanks

Have you rooted and got rid of metro wifi? I use the built in wifi only and it doesn't auto connect, unless I already set up the connection once before.

i also have a similar issue I have installed a ad-hoc app that has placed settings and wants to load that wifi first. I have uninstalled the app but the settings are still there I have searched the root folders and found the zip folder that came with the app but not the settings file. is there an app that would fix this or should I soft reszet
any hbelp appreciated
