Help How to put Wii online?

I would like to put my wii on-line. I am using easy-tether with my Ubuntu Linux box. Is there a way to share the computers Internet connection with the wii, or better yet to tether to the wii.
I have also heard about people with rooted phones turning their phone into a wifi modem. Not sure if that one is true or not.

Yes the wifi modem thing is true. You can use the app "Wifi Tether" if your phone is rooted. Just about anything that supports wifi should have no problem connecting to it, and I don't see why a Wii wouldn't (I believe it supports ad-hoc).

But once again, your phone needs to be rooted. I think that just rooting your phone is going to be a LOT easier than trying to set up a wireless bridge with easy tether in Ubuntu.
