How to remove bloatware...?

i have a n900 and rooting it is quite easy. and i have been tweaking the phone quite a bit, but am a little circumspect doing it on the two week old DHD (though i did these on the n900 when it was the same age!). i have read the different techniques but wanted to know if anyone has "successfully" rooted the phone without ****ing it up please? i have also read a few posts stating they were able to temproot but permanent rool was elusive to them, any ideas why this may be so please?
 
I like the Peep Twitter app, but I think it's pretty poor that HTC fill YOUR phone up with filth, with no way of removing it
 
download visionary from the market place, press a few buttons and you have a rooted DHD. There are loads of people doing this, check out the cyanogen site if you want re-assurance. I haven't heard of anyone bricking a DHD using this software

I can't find Visionary in the market place!
 
there are a couple of aps that require VISIONary in the market but i cant find the actual app VISIONary
