Help how to remove dual numbers

when ever i text someone i get this pop up window with two phone numbers and i have to select which number to text the thing is both numbers are the same how do i make it so that pop up stops popping up?

well i have the stock messing app but i dont use it, i use handcent

I don't think that has anything to do with whats hes asking about.

Its a facebook problem, you are getting the number duplicated because that person has their number listed on facebook and you have it in your phone. I do not know of a fix other then deleting the number from your contacts and letting facebook sync it.

i figured out how to do it but i have to go through every contact and delete one of there numbers. aaarrrgg
