Root How to remove the custom ROM so that I can install stock version of 2.3

I have a CM7 ROM and I want to remove it so that I can go back to stock ROM, I cant even go back to 2.2 now as KDZ updater is giving me an error " phone not found". Can any body please help me?

I have even disabled the LG modem using device manager but I am getting the same error.

Have you turned the USB Debugging On, If not KDZ displays this error
