Root How to rename to ext3 for A2SD+

I'm in the process of flashing a ROM with A2SD+ supported(using Cyanogen 6.1.1 atm) but first I want to make sure everything is in place before I do flash. I created 2 partions(I thought they would be created in numerical order, i.e ext2,ext3) But, I've already created a partition. Now I just need to know how to rename the ext to ext3 so when I flash a new ROM it will recognize it. I've search everywhere and I can't find a solution. Didn't see any posts on XDA or AF either. Thanks tons :D

You won't find an answer to this as its so far off the mark.

Ext is a file system. Not a name. Ext2 is a different file system to ext3. Like fat16 and fat32.

You can't rename one to another.

Anyways, which ever you formatted to should be recognised by the Rom anyway.

However, I would suggest formatting the card from scratch and then you can create the ext file system of your choice.

Probably best to use gparted. See apps2sd+ faq

No worries.

What may be worth bearing in mind is that android is based on Linux (the PC operating system) so many of the principles are cross transferable.
