I don't have groups set up so im not sure but you should just be able to open messages and long press the group message and hit reply."On the all messages screen"

Ok here's what happens. Say I'm part of a four person group text. I receive everyones texts as individual texts with multimedia message as the topic. Then I have to reply to each person individualy. There's no reply to all option.

Ok if your using the new ICS open messages/hit menu then select group message.Select the group and compose your message.Does that work?
