Help How to reset?

1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.
The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process.

Thanks for the info. Was given same instructions from Samsung Tech Support. I get to the point where I have selected "wipe date/factory reset" but nothing happens! Have Galaxy Tab P100.

Are you sure you're waiting long enough following the last step in the recovery menu selection for the process to begin? It can sometimes take a while.

But, assuming that is not the problem:

Ok, tell us what you meant in your first post when you said, "it is stuck."

Does it hang on boot-up at some point, for example? If so, what point? That is, what is the last thing you see on the screen during boot?

If by "stuck" you mean the screen freezes after a full boot, then that is a horse of a different color.

Can you get to the OS? If so then it's simply menu > settings > privacy > factory data reset.

Hi

I have similar problem where the screen is stuck at " Verizonwireless" logo and it is not going anywhere. My daughter wants to keep data that is already there. Can it be done? or do we need to wipe out and reset?

Thank you

Chris
