Root How to restore?

Ok, im sure that there are plenty of threads on how to restore the Eris, but i don't know how and i don't feel like weeding through 50+ pages trying to figure it out. My problem is I downloaded live wallapapers apk, didn't like em, got rid of them BUT the apk for live wallpapers changed my lock screen and im guessing because i have to use it on the actual android home since it can't be used on sense. Anyway last night i was searching around and I found out I could do a Nand restore but that didn't work. Im simply asking how can i restore my Eris so i can get my HTC Sence lock screen back.

Thanx in advance

Did you make a nand backup in the first place?

Also, what ROM are you using? You could try doing a dalvik cache wipe and reflash your ROM.

Were you running a custom ROM, such as xtrSENSE? If so, just flash it again without wiping data (you can wipe Dalvik if you want to, though). I'd think that should do it.

I made a Nand back up, twice and nothing. Im not sure which ROM im running, I used Eris One Click Root to root my phone. And what is Dalvik?

In general, it's a good idea to make a nand backup before you make any big changes to your phone, that way you have a known-good place to go back to, should something go wrong. You don't ever HAVE to make one, but it's often a good idea.
Then every now and then just go in and delete all the ones you figure you'll never use

Oh well that makes sense lol, well i did the Dalvik restore and my phone is exactly the same. No changes whatso ever. I may just call verizon and have them send me a replacement and root that phone and NOT install live wallpapers lol, unless i can figure this out.

Actually, what I suggested was to install Plain_JaneT2, then wipe Dalvik (though that may not be necessary.) What this will do is replace the stuff that your live wallpaper experiment altered with stock, and Plain_JaneT2, because it is compatible with stock, should not need a data wipe to install - it should run with the apps and data you have installed already. xtrSENSE may be that way, too, but I can't remember if it is.
