How to root GC01?

If anybody figures out how to root GC01 (preferably by exploit rather than flashing a recovery rom), please post instructions here and thanks.

Well, what you could try doing is posting in the Framaroot topic here informing the developer that you have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch (Boost variant) running GC01 (4.1.2) and that both the Sam and Frodo exploits fail. Perhaps he'll update it?

it is an official optional update available through kies. Due to size they are not pushing it OTA and available via wired only (aka update through kies).

I rooted GC01 by flashing the GB27 AGAT tREC_v0.3.2 recovery repack in Odin, then booting into recovery and flashing the SuperSU flashable zip to root, then rebooted the system. Once the system was back up and running I then downloaded Mobile Odin and flashed the zImage stock kernel from GC01. All is well now - stock with no triangle and root.

Great pre-rooted stock-ish GC01 rom from xda. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39749534 My only issue so far is that i haven't been able to get wifi tether working yet. If anyone could help with that it would be greatly appreciated.
