Root How to root htc hero

I'm trying to root a htc hero.
These are its informations:

Firmware version: 2.1-update1

kernel: 2.6.29-7527f009

software number: 3.36.405.1

browser version: webkit 3.1

I was trying to follow this tut:

But I cant find a way to put the ROM version to 1.76.405.1 because link is broken.

Can someone help me with this? Thank you
