After many trials and errors. I was finally able to create a simple but informative tutorial for rooting the Kyocera Rise v4.0.4. In order to reduce redundant information, I have provided my link to the tutorial below...

Too many methods cause confusion. My methods allows any Rise to be rooted without a pc. This way the person can read the info and apply it. When you involve extra steps it causes confusion.

My goal was to reduce the location of the tutorial to one place and to limit confusion. The amount of views compared to the amount of comments, provides evidence that my goal was accomplished.

But regardless the overall goal is to help others. So any helpful tips are always welcomed!

well i was just trying to help for some people who do have a pc at there disposal and had trouble using this method... my intention was not to derail your thread so I have removed the link not to add to any confusion... My apologies...

No worries! I have tested this method so many times that I am familiar with many possible errors.

You should have let me known when you encountered a problem. I may have already known the solution or I would have research the error for you.
