Root How to root LG G4?

Hello: I have the T-mobile LG G4.

I tried rooting using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/o...ot-lg-t3164765

But when I try to run the SEND command I get that error message where the dll is missing. So, I downloaded the dll and saved it in the LG_Root folder and than I get a different error.

Are there any other ways to root the T-mobile LG G4?

You have the T mobile version so is the official bootloader unlock an option? Or don't you want to lose warranty?

Fwiw, that's the only root method btw. The G4 has proven a tough nut to crack.

I am not sure if my bootloader could be unlocked or not. Could it be unlocked? I don't mind unlocking the bootloader to root.

Yeah, as far as I know the bootloader on the T Mobile variant is unlockable.

You can test it out on the LG Dev site without actually unlocking it first.

How do I do that? And why am I getting SEND command errors?

No idea on the send command errors, sorry. Are you sure you're sending to the correct COMM port?

Yeah, I tried that link as well for the TWRP install, but I tried COM 1 than 3 than 4 and I still get the msvcr100.dll is missing error. How? It is in my system32 folder so I tried to replace the original file and I still get the error.

Have you rebooted since messing about with the dll files? If no, it's worth a go.

I'm not overly familiar with the ins an outs of that method. I'm UK based and have the H815 variant so I just unlocked the bootloader via LG's website, installed recovery and SU from there.

I have a system update ready to install. Would that have anything to do with the error? Should I get the update? Or the root will not work with the new update?

You'd need another pre rooted system.img file if you want to root after you take the update.

I don't know what you mean but I do know I cannot root regardless because these errors are preventing me from rooting.
