how to root my phone with android 2.3.6, GINGERBREAD.XXLA3

Hi, all

my phone model is GT-I9100P, android version is 2.3.6,
Baseband version I9100PBUKK1
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9100PXXLA3-CL900411
root@DELLBUILDER10 #2

BUILD NUMBER: GINGERBREAD.XXLA3

Before I used Odin3-v1.85 to write XWKDD_insecure into kernel. But I DID NOT make the phone into "DOWNLOADING" mode(stupid mistake coz I'm a newbiee). But it seems it succeed. Then I used superoneclick to root the phone, but it always stuck in "running gingerbread"

Now I notice my procedures are wrong, can anybody tell me how to root my phone? Thank you!

Insecure kernel method is the best way to go. There is a good guide and set of instructions here which will help you.

and search posts #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 and #8 for a CF-Root kernel that comes closest to matching your current kernel, i.e. KG1, KF3, KI1, KK5, LPQ, LP kS, etc:

the problem is how to find the closest kernel , it seems that my phone kernel is rare

Be careful - you have the GT-i9100P, which uses a different kernel to the i9100.
