Hi, I think you mean just by using your galaxy fit?
Yes, it is possible if you have internet access.
Using your internet browser download the file:
update.zip that I've attached to the thread.
Alternatively you can download it from:
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
(I downloaded it from there following a guide on youtube)
(On megaupload it is called upd_1.zip, in that case you have to rename it as update.zip
using a file manager).
Save the file update,in the root of your sdcard (/mnt/sdcard).
(If you use the default browser it is automatically downloaded in
/mnt/sdcard/download so you have to access your sdcard with a file manager like ASTRO, available in the market and move the file to /mnt/sdcard).
Turn off your device.
By holding the "home" button (the square button at the bottom in the middle) turn on your smartphone (keeping holding the home button).
You'll enter in recovery mode.
You'll be asked what you want to do. Select the second option (the one saying you want to recover from update.zip) using the volume buttons to go up and down.
Confirm your choice pressing the home button.
Reboot you mobile. You should see the super user application in the list of the available apps. Your mobile is rooted
Hope this helps!
