How to root SPH-M840 Samsung Galaxy Ring

Its a security exploit so it can be considered possibly harmful software - a virus. I think so. I'm trying to root my ring but its being a little (blank) about taking root

I have read about this phone and since it has been on the market it has been full of bugs. This has caused samsung to release several OTA updates and it changes what kinds of rooting process will work. Right? Something will be figured out soon, I have faith in the people who code this stuff.

Well, just deleting everything I wrote before, so people do not get confused. I went ahead and just followed this, because I was mucking around with the ROM and I finally decided I need a Custom Recovery.

Finally, have ROOT and CUSTOM RECOVERY; so I can backup and test some ROMs although it seems there is no Marshmallow. If anyone finds 6.0 for the SPH-M840 then let me know here...

Yeah, the SPH-M840 might be an old phone; but I use it as a portable WiFi router...
