Root How to Root the Droid X

Does anyone know of a complete guide to rooting the Droid X? Yes, I've Googled, but all the guides I've found are horribly vague or incomplete. The best I've found so far is How to Root Droid X! | Droid X Hacks!

but the line:

adb push exploid /sqlite_stmt_journals/exploid

fails for me with the error "failed to copy 'exploid' to '/sqlite_stmt_journals/exploid': No such file or directory"

Since the guy clearly missed something in his instructions, I stopped there for fear of destroying my phone.

There's a TON of info on here about rooting. Try the "All Things Root" section of the Droid X forum. This guide below has everything you need, he spells out how to root very nicely. Can't be much better than that. GL.

Right now the easiest one button method is z4root app. It has been pulled from the marketplace, but you can get the app in this thread in post #118, http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/230150-coming-soon-full-2-3-320-sbf-file-3.html
