Root How to root XT 1031?

I'm looking for a simple guide on how to root one of these, video preffered. I don't want a rom or anything I just want to use some apps that need root access. Thanks

CF autoroot is about as easy as gets, just google "CFautoroot XT1031" it'll be for 5.0.X but the method works fine with 4.4.4 just follow the instructions.

Bruh I've been trying to find roots for this phones for like 3 hours, that is amazing, thank you so ****ing much!
 
unlock the phone from motorola
download philz
download SuperSU zip

boot to fastboot

$ fastboot flash recovery *philz*.img

reboot to recovery
install zip
install zip via sideload

$ adb sideload *SuperSu*.zip

reboot
 
The file for falcon_CDMA boost is not good.
Why is the chainfire website giving me bad links?

Ive been searching and waiting for ever trying to get root on this phone and when I finally figure out how, the damn tool I need won't download!
Is there any other website I can get this from that doesn't give bad links??

Just checked CFs links and they're fine...sure its not a user error/bad download?

It downloads on my phone but says the file is invalid.it won't even download on Internet Explorer on my laptop. Starts at 0%, checking download link and fails.
Tried it multiple times.

What could be causing that?
