Help How to run apk file

I just bought cardiotrainer pro and I was emailed a apk file. I can copy the file to my HTC but how do I run it? The installer program I downloaded is seeing an empty SD card with no apps, but the apk file is on the phone.

Download and install Astro File Manager (the Android equivalent to Windows Explorer). In Astro click on the apk file and it should ask you if you want to install it.

Format your sd card in the phone first (if you have anything important on it, back it up to your pc beforehand).

I use appInstaller from the market - this can install, save & uninstall apps - and it's FREE!

It will create a directory appsaver on your sd card - copy your apk there & then use appinstaller to install it.
