How to send large group texts

How can I send a text to groups with over 20 contacts in them? I have two work groups that range from 20 to 25 members and often need to get messages to them.

I switched from a Blackberry and like the new phone a great deal but I really need to have the ability to send large group texts.

You have to put all of the contacts into a group.

Once you have done this, in the sms app select that group as the "send to" group

all of the contacts phone numbers should populate into the "To:" field

type your message and then send.

I know this isn't very detailed but it's a starting point. Perhaps someone could help fill in the blanks for me?

As a side note, a contact can be a member of multiple groups.

If you hit compose, then the icon to the right of the "To" box, you'll get your contacts and you can check multiple contacts.

That or create a contact group if its going to be the same people alot.

how do you go into a contact and set the primary so that its only on one # and not the email? because when i add these people in a group it sends to their email and cell and want to eliminate the email destination. TY
