Root How to set up ViperFx (Beats Audio) for the Volt

Is the Volt not fast enough for the super audio quality setting? Is there a big difference in quality between super and high?

The volt is definitely fast enough, you will have the best quality with super but the battery will drain a little quicker

Ive tried the OP directions, plus every other way and it wont install the driver (regardless of which quality, permissions, reboots, compatibility, etc.). Ive even disabled (renamed to .bak) the roms sound enhancement app.

Any suggestions? I have it working with every other device for the past few years.
Make sure you have supersu installed and make sure your kernel is set to permissive. Other than that I'm not sure on Xperia

Most likely will need to delete all files pertaining to xperia walkman from system. Then copy back all files pertaining to original music player and sound system for the rom. Im using a heavily modified G2 walkman port. It replaces a lot of files. The walkman port would not function properly via any port except the one I used. I am updating all of the roms and look to get rid of xperia walkman in favor of something more system and user friendly just because of this issue. I'll have something posted by the end of the week.

Cant this just be incorporated in to a rom as system app that way its already one and all you gotta do is update the driver? Or for that matter add the driver also?

Yes it can be, but all Walkman need to be removed. If you can send me a list of the files I need to remove, I'll test it out.
