how to stop auto internet connection

please help,my Hero,keeps connecting automatically to the internet,therefore i hve to pay fortunes for my bill,i want to access the internet when i want to,not to be auto connected please help.

sense ui has a data off toggle as I understand it. that should help.

Welcome to the Android Forums! I'm not sure how you could do that.. maybe an app on the market to disable data? I'm not sure though.. Maybe the people here..
