Root How to stop firmware update?

Please can someone answer this? I just rooted my optimus l9 3 days ago and now I have an update prompt every couple hours.
 
Can the update be rooted?

Also download a root uninstaller from the play store and look for an app with "fota" in it, tell me the name of it and I can tell you if it's the correct one to remove.
 
I have a solution given to me by mjb1994. Voodoo's OTA rootkeeper works great for this phone(LG Optimus L9 P769). It allow you to hide supersu and root access then after the update is complete you can press "restore root" for updated phone with root access. Enjoy!
