How to take a screen shot

Got my G3 yesterday, so far loving it, be a few quirks (especially certain apps like Amazon and Jet Blue not compatible with phone yet). My question is how the heck do I take a screen shot, coming from a Galaxy S3, apparently it's not the same, but how? TIA

Press center 'power' button and bottom 'volume down' button at the same time. Took me a few tries to figure out exactly how to do it with one finger but I have no problems now.

HAHA i tried to do the palm swipe the first time.

Also you can use the quickmemo+ feature, by swiping up underneath home to launch it in the quick launch thingy.

Finally figured it out thanks. When you swipe up and to the right tothe Q key you can then write with your finger on screen shot. Fun feature.
