I restart this thread because I experience another kind of trouble in the same way. I use Windows 7 and for most of the viewing actions I use MyPhoneExplorer which is also able to sync with Outlook perfectly and quickly. But for transferring/copying files there are some actions it can't do. On Windows 7, I use Directory Opus as a file explorer which is, in general, a lot better that the MS one, but as soon as we use MTP (and we don't have any choice), it is very slow and nothing is displayed except name and file type.
More serious is that only manual interactive operations are possible, as under MTP there is no letter assigned to the phone's partition (or I don't know how to do that), so the device cannot be addressed in a normal way by a script or a program, prohibiting any automated action..
What I want to do is, as like "SPB Backup" did (under WiMo), automatically copy some files from my phone (or external SD card) to my PC as in case of full crash or if the device is no longer available, the data are recoverable from the last (or near) up to date version.
Up to now, I didn't find any solution to do that automatically.
If someone had an idea...
