Help How to turn off Application Dock??

All of a sudden I got a very annoying application dock showing on my screen (it's to the left in the screenshots).

I have never seen/heard about it before and I dislike it very much.

Can I turn it off?
If yes - pretty please with sugar on top - tell me how!!!

Hi Anders
To turn it off press & hold the back button, also to turn it back on do the same, this tab is used so you can use multi windows, just drag one of the icons to the top or bottom of the screen, then drag another one to the bottom, this way you can browse the web & look at emails, only some apps use this feature but its worth having a play about with it.

The same happened to me, I think it's the way you hold the phone, you don't realize you're long pressing the back button.
