Root How to turn off auto app install?

After an SBF or wipe, upon initial reboot my apps from the market all start downloading & installing. Is it possible to turn this feature off so that the apps show up in my list, but don't install until I tell them to?

Yes it is, when you reboot the phone for the first time do not sign in to your google account, skip it for now. Once you're on your home screens press "menu" >"settings" >"Privacy". Now place a check mark in the "Back up my data" field and remove the check mark from "Automatic restore". From there press "back" >"accounts" >"Add account" and then log in to your google account. You still may have a few of the google apps download but nothing else.
