Help How to turn off loud Amber alerts (Acclaim)

My girlfriend's Acclaim just scared us. Very loud Amber Alert. How may we turn off the sound of the alert and still get the alert ? Second best = stop receiving these alerts.

I was able to turn of the audio alert on the LG Motion, but not the Acclaim.

Check under settings>more>emergency broadcasts

Thanks. In settings, there's no "more", just "more networks" and it's not there.

Hmmm... That's odd... I think the "more..." Setting has been there since at least ice cream sandwich. What version of android are you on?

Just for reference here is my settings menu:


The "more..." Is right up there under wireless & networks (4th item down).


Then you see emergency broadcasts:


Followed by the list of broadcasts, including amber alerts:

Under More Networks, there is Default messaging app, Mobile networks, VPN, and WiFi calling.
