Root How to update CM7 7.0.3-encore SD card

Is there a simple method to update 7.0.3-encore (kernel 2.6.29) installed on an SD card? Everything works (dual boot, Netflix, videos) and I would rather not wipe and start over. This may have been asked and answered, and I apologize if so, but the discussions I find are hard to understand or seem to talk about CM7 installed in EMMC rather than SD. If it is possible to update, kindly direct me to the link or provide the steps. Thanks a bunch!

Could you give us a link to the method you used to create your card?

Usualy to update on a SD card you just put the update file onto the boot partition, boot into recovery and then reboot.

What I said earlier should work fine. Just put the cm7 zip on the boot partition and boot into recovery and then select reboot system.

What version did you install? The nightly builds already have the best kernel.

Installed CN-7.1.0-RC1-encore-signed. The maximum clockspeed is 925, so I am guessing I need a different kernal.
