how to update contacts pics with fb pics

hi folks,
i have a galaxy note.
how do i update my contacts pics to the one they have on FB account?:confused:

--i do not want to install some app for it. :hmpf:


does it happen on its own or by syncing any of the account? i hv not been able to find how to do it:confused:... pls help
 
Usually if you have the Fb application installed it gives you the option of Syncing all your Facebook contacts / Only syncing with ones you have already / Not syncing at all
when the app syncs it will update their contact pictures to the ones they are using as their defaults.
 
do i need to install the FB app? i hv been using BB for long now n i neva had to install any app for it.

also used to sync birthdays or anniversaries from fb to my calender in BB...for this too i need to hv an app again?
 
The BB would have had an app to do it. Probably just a pre-installed one you didn't know about though, maybe built in to the OS.
PersonallyI like the choice and it's no hassle to install the app. I never use it thereafter and may have even deleted it.
 
yeah to sync you need to have Facebook installed. unless you find a alternate app that edits your contacts (tyhat do exist) and give it permission to pull info from your facebook (you will still need to sign in).
 
If your Note is on ICS, I believe you won't be able to sync contact pictures from Facebook. Apparently Google has removed the ability to do that because they want people to use Google+.

Iv got ICS on my note.... So eill i hv to create a google + account n then wud i b able to get to sync the pics?
 
Even if you create a Google+ profile, you wouldn't be able to sync Facebook contact pictures. However, if you have most of your Facebook friends on Google+, then you can sync those pictures.

It seems that stock ICS doesn't support Facebook photo sync anymore, but I know there are some apps that will let you sync Facebook contact pictures.
