How to update my Iped

Hey guys I am wanting to flash my Iped to 2.1 or 2.2 using a generic rom, only problem is i have no idea how to do that and would really appreciate some help, is there anything i need to do before doing it etc...

a Link showing the one you purchased and the last 4 lines from the Settings-About Device screen would help us narrow down If you can upgade this and what wuld need be done... just there are Way too many similar tablets around now so no generic answers I'm afraid...

I dont really have a link as I bought it off ebay ages ago i do have the instruction booklet etc... which does say it is a M003

the last 4 lines say

Model Number : generic

Firmware 1.6

Kernal Version: 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty
